Connecting Bright to a Global Movement of Service
The Rotary Club of Bright is part of Rotary International, a worldwide network of 1.4 million members across more than 35,000 clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas. Since 1905, Rotary has been bringing together people from all walks of life to create positive, lasting change in communities around the world.

Our Local Story
We’re a diverse group of community members who believe in the power of making a difference together. From students to business owners, from young families to grandparents, from tradies to teachers – we welcome people from every background and life stage who want to contribute to their community.
Our club is known for taking on ambitious projects that create lasting impact. We’ve owned and operated the Bright Waterslide since 1982, built community facilities like the Sibley Sound Shell, and maintained a 20-year partnership supporting communities in East Timor. We don’t just talk about making a difference – we roll up our sleeves and get it done.
Our Approach
We believe that diverse voices and fresh perspectives lead to the most innovative solutions. Whether you’re 18 or 80, whether you can volunteer every week or just occasionally, whether you’re new to service or experienced in community work – there’s a meaningful role for you here.
For those who want to be involved but can’t commit to full membership, our “Friends of Rotary” program offers a flexible way to connect with our projects and community activities. We meet twice monthly and focus on practical, hands-on projects that address real needs in our community and beyond. Every member and friend brings unique skills and experiences that strengthen our collective impact.
Part of Something Bigger
Through Rotary International, we’re connected to global initiatives that tackle the world’s most pressing challenges – from eradicating polio (we’re 99.9% there!) to providing clean water, supporting education and promoting peace. When you join the Rotary Club of Bright, you’re not just serving locally – you’re part of a movement that spans the globe.
Ready to learn more about how you can be part of our story? We’d love to meet you.
